During my sophomore year at Marquette, I expanded into reporting for the school newspaper, The Marquette Tribune. I reported there for a year into my junior year, and was then promoted into an editorial position. That experience helped me earn an internship my senior year with The Business Journal in Milwaukee, where I assisted their staff during fall 2010.

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker announced his candidacy for governor at the end of my sophomore year at Marquette. Come November 2010, Walker was elected to succeed Jim Doyle. Published April 30, 2009
